WHO WON?
Today, we witnessed a glepic game. It was so good, I forgot to see anyone playing. I didn't see any of the players! I saw the manager, the first base coach, and the batting coach. I was also supposed to do a golf challenge, but we all left before I got the chance. The Jackals and the Skyhawks were SUPPOSED to play, but they disappointed all the campers from multiple camps today. The experience was amazing; I got to hand somebody a slip of paper and get free food! And the paper wasn't even cash! I like these small baseball games.

Red Bull for New York
Today, we met the Red Bulls, our own local, professional, and very diverse soccer team. We got to ask some questions of two of the players and an assistant coach. All three of them believe that Spain will win the World Cup. No support for Netherlands. We asked Daniel, one of the players, what team he would play for if he had the choice. He said that he would want to play for Manchester United even though he believed that Barcelona was the best team. All three also shared the view that having a diverse team really added to the team and didn't make it awkward or difficult. The Red Bulls have actually had some players in the World Cup! They have really improved and worked at the game to come to be second in their league this year. Last year, unfortunately, they were in last place. I think the Red Bulls really have a shot at winning, even though Richie Williams, their assistant coach thinks that the team is a seven out of ten right now. HE says that by the time the championship rolls around, his team will be a ten.

Bruce Harper, former footall star, now a public speaker?
Bruce Harper, a running back and a kick return specialist decided to visit our Write on Sports Camp and grace us with his presence. We also had reporter jenny Vrentas give the entire a camp a mock interview, similar to the one that Dave Skretta gave Mrs. Holloman yesterday. We learned that even though he's not on the field anymore, Mr. Harper is still very much involved with his former team, the Jets. He still speaks out for them and watches them all the time. he was asked if he would change what team he played for if he had the choice and he said no since he has become very close to the team in which he played for for so many years.
